It's not about having time but about using your time.

It’s not about having time but about using your time.

We can get too busy. We can overload our schedules. We can prioritise less important things. None of this helps us recharge and fuel ourselves the way that we need.

There are 24 hours in every day. (Breaking news!) There is a requirement to get some sleep every day. (Also, breaking news!) There are also lots of distractions and unimportant trivialities that we unwittingly or by choice prioritise that we don’t take advantage of.

I’ve worked out (rocket science observation coming up!) that if I am focusing on Netflix and Amazon Prime then my bookshelf won’t get worked through any quicker.

If I inadvertently or deliberately even focus on scrolling through social media then the weeds in my garden will remain.

If I stay at home not choosing to push myself, then I’m not going to gain from experiences that I would get if I use my time to explore.

It’s been important for me to get some rest and to take the opportunity for downtime recently, but the goal longer term, other than the obvious requirement of work, will be to utilise my time better, to take advantage of the opportunities that time brings us, and to not be so wasteful unnecessarily when there are other goals to achieve too.

It’s not about having time but about using your time.
